Xeomin™ is the newest form of botulinum toxin used to
eliminate wrinkles on the upper face. It is a pure or ‘naked’ protein
without added identifiers, making it unlikely that your immune system may detect it.
Therefore, Xeomin™ eliminates the “immunity” concern; and will not become less
effective with repeat treatments.
It works similar to Botox yet seems to work much faster.
Xeomin™ effects are confined to where it is injected; therefore treating one area
will not affect others. Results can be seen about as soon as the next day
post treatment and can last about for about 3-6 months.
Ava Med Spa is one of the most advanced providers of Botox™ in San Diego. Botox™ can be used to erase unwanted wrinkles and lines. This simple, non-surgical treatment paralyzes muscles of expression that cause wrinkle lines or deep furrows while maintaining your natural expression and features. The treatment takes just a few minutes, and within days you may see an improvement that can last from three to six months.
How does Botox™ work? Those moderate to severe frown lines between your brows, forehead, and sides of your eyes form over time as the result of muscle activity. Botox™ is injected directly into the muscles causing the dynamic wrinkles by a physician using a small needle. It blocks the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles and thus reduces the activity of the muscles that cause these stubborn wrinkles to form.
Within days you may see a marked improvement in facial wrinkles. Lines continue to improve for up to a month.
How long does Botox™ last? Results vary but treatment with Botox™ can last from three to six months. If you discontinue treatment, the facial wrinkles will gradually return to their prior appearance.
Is treatment with Botox™ painful? Discomfort is minimal and well tolerated without anesthesia. The entire procedure takes only a few minutes. There is no downtime following Botox™ treatments.
Who should not use BOTOX™ Cosmetic? Botox™ should be avoided if individuals have a known hypersensitivity to the ingredients, an infection at the proposed site of injection, or preexisting neuromuscular disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome.
