carlsbad-girl-imageWhat is the difference between BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler and other fillers?

While BELOTERO BALANCER® Dermal Filler is made of the same material (hyaluronic acid) as some other dermal fillers, BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction.

How does it work?

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler is made of a material called hyaluronic acid or HA. HA naturally exists as a component of your skin. By binding to water, it plumps and fills in wrinkles and folds, allowing immediate and smooth correction.

How soon can I expect results?

Instantly! Immediately upon injection when treated to full correction, BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler plumps the skin and smoothes away lines and wrinkles.

How long does it last?

Individual results may vary, but BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler may last about 6 months or more.

What is it made of? Is it safe?

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler is made of a substance called hyaluronic acid or HA. A natural component of skin, HA has the capacity to bind to water, making it an ideal dermal filler, as it binds with the skin’s own water to plump wrinkles and folds.

How is the treatment performed?

BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler is injected into the skin in a simple, quick procedure using a fine gauge needle that can even be done over your lunch hour.

Are there any side effects?

Just like any injection, you may experience mild irritation, swelling, itching, redness, bruising or tenderness at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own.

How long is the recovery time?

There is very little to no downtime associated with a BELOTERO BALANCE® Dermal Filler procedure. In fact, most patients return to their normal daily activities right after their visit. Every patient is unique and there is a slight risk of bruising.

RADIESSE™

Radiesse™ is injectable filler composed of calcium hydroxylapatite, which lasts upto 18 months. After injection of Radiesse, your body’s skin cells grow around the calcium hydroxylapatite particles. The Radiesse acts like scaffolding through which the body’s cells grow. Within about a week, the injectable becomes integrated into the skin.

Dr. Stanley uses this long-lasting dermal filler in many applications including:

  • Non-Surgical Chin Enhancement
  • Non-Surgical Jowl Lift
  • Non-Surgical Facelift
  • Smoothing wrinkles and folds throughout the face
  • Filling acne scars

Radiesse injections cause no significant pain, swelling, or recovery time. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment.

Because it is not animal-based, there is no allergy testing required prior to treatment. Calcium hydroxylapatite is biodegradable, so it is safely absorbed by your body over time.

The result is a soft, pliable filled area, which looks natural. After about one and a half years your body absorbs the filler and the injections can be repeated, meaning that the treated area can be adjusted to compliment the changes that occur in your face over time.
